Gianluca was born on the 31st March 1992 in Cardiff, Wales, to parents Giovanni Malacrino & Marisa Morteo.

The Welsh Italian artist began training as a performer at 19 years old under the instruction of Rebecca Hardy at the Actors Workshop in his hometown.

Gianluca starred in sitcom, Mother Hoodies at The St Davids Hall in Cardiff, as well as securing the lead role in short film, Managed. Managed plus Couple Confine were both nominated this year for awards at the Cardiff Mini Film Festival and Camarthen Bay Film Festival.

He is now making a name for himself in Hollywood. Following his graduation from AMDA College & Conservatory for the Performing Arts, the world-renowned acting academy, Gianluca has secured several professional acting roles, including the latest, Grey’s Anatomy & Criminal Minds Beyond Borders, playing the role of Onario Alighieri (Il Mostro) alongside Paul Sorvino, as well Distant Vision, a project directed by the Godfather’s very own, Francis Ford Coppola.

Gianluca has also secured two worldwide commercials, being released online this year and his first lead role in a professional theater production with the Robey Theatre Company at the Los Angeles Theatre Centre in LA. He played the role of New York mobster Mike Maffucci in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play No Place to Be Somebody. In addition, other credits include Blasterjaxx & Breathe Carolina’s latest music video “Soldier”, and Christopher Ad. Castillo’s forthcoming movie Night Rider.

Gianluca plans on remaining in Los Angeles to pursue his dream of working in motion pictures and theatre.
