Sarah Balfour

Having graduated from ALRA in July 0f 2017, Sarah launched straight into the role of Shelley playing opposite Charlie Hardwick in Philip Correia’s ‘Hyem’ at both Theatre503 and the Northern Stage. She is currently performing in Robert Icke’s West End adaption of ‘Mary Stuart’, starring Juliet Stevenson and Lia Williams.
Strongly cast in comedic as well as vulnerable, emotionally complex roles, Sarah is a strawberry blonde Geordie with a porcelain albino look.
In addition to this, Sarah writes and performs her own spoken word pieces. Her work was selected to be presented at feminist festival HERSTORY 2 at Theatre N16, as well as the ‘Scratch Me If You Can’ event which took place at last year’s Vaults Festival.
Sarah’s exceptional talent and flawless work ethic have earned her triple distinctions at Newcastle College as well as a First Class Honours from ALRA.
